Zerger & Mauer Attorneys Chosen for Inclusion on the 2012 Missouri & Kansas Rising Stars List

Heather Zerger and Melody Rayl have been chosen for inclusion on the 2012 Missouri & Kansas Rising Stars list. Up to 2.5 percent of lawyers in Missouri and Kansas are selected to the list, an honor reserved for those lawyers who exhibit excellence in practice.

Zerger earned her J.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1999. Prior to co-founding Zerger & Mauer LLP in 2011 with Steve Mauer, she was a partner at Bryan Cave LLP. Her experience includes defending class actions and commercial trials representing plaintiffs. She is also experienced in employment litigation and counseling.

Rayl earned her law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and a Masters of Criminal Justice from Washburn University. Rayl represents clients in commercial matters through all phases of the litigation process. Her practice also focuses on defending employers in employment litigation matters, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment and wage and hour claims.
